San Mateo County's only free, outdoor Hyrox-style training group. Each session blends running, functional strength training, and bodyweight movements — just like Hyrox, but free and outdoors. Volume and intensity are always adjustable.
We started as a run club and grew into something bigger — a free community fitness group serving San Mateo, Foster City, Burlingame, Redwood City, and the entire mid-Peninsula. Our sessions are inspired by Hyrox-style functional training, but you don't need to know what Hyrox is to join us.
Whether you've never done a burpee in your life or you're actively training for a Hyrox race in San Mateo County, you'll find your place here. This is the mid-Peninsula's only free, outdoor, Hyrox-inspired group workout — no gym membership, no entry fee, no sign-up. Just show up to Shorebird Park every Wednesday at 6PM.

A typical 90-minute session includes running (usually 400m–1km intervals), sled pulls, sled pushes, wall ball throws, farmer carries, burpee broad jumps, rowing, sandbag lunges, and bodyweight movements like push-ups and squats. Each workout changes week to week, but the format stays consistent: a mix of running and 8 Hyrox-style functional fitness stations. Volume and intensity are always adjustable.
